Ethan's Baptism

Ethan's baptism weekend started off with Isaac waking up with a fever on Friday night.  He had the exact same temperature and when he had hand, foot and mouth in August.  Saturday morning, Isaac was pretty upset and whiny.  We decided to start making food for the baptism in case Isaac started feeling better, however, he kept saying his mouth and feet hurt.  Sure enough, he started to get blisters on his hands on Saturday afternoon.  It was hand, foot and mouth again (and later we found he had thrush also)!  Ugghhh.

We decided to still have the baptism but not do the celebration afterward because we could not expose everyone.  Luckily, my Mom was willing to stay home with Isaac.  It was so sad because not only did we have a very sick little boy, but we did not get to spend time with the extended family.  As you will see in the pictures, Ethan did fine through the baptism but was not excited about pictures afterward.  As a result, I did not really take many pictures.

On a positive note, Isaac is feeling much better!

It was a bummer to have Isaac sick the last week I was home but at least I was able to take care of him.  I am back to work starting tomorrow.

Pumpkin Farm

We went to the pumpkin farm a few weeks ago.  Isaac got to ride on rocking horses and drive small tractors.  He loved the corn maze where he sang and ran from one thing to the next.  We then took a hayride out to pick pumpkins.  It was certainly interesting trying to pick pumpkins and juggle two kids when one of them needed to be held the entire time.  Poor Dad had to carry all the pumpkins and keep track of Isaac.  It was well worth it though.  Isaac had a blast.

Hush Little Baby

Ethan started fussing one day and this was Isaac's reaction.

Two Months Old

Ethan is one big boy.  At his two month appointment, he weighed in at 14 pounds 10 ounces which put him in the 90th percentile.  He was 24.5 inches long and in the 96th percentile.  He certainly was not a fan of the shots but he handled them pretty well.  They did not affect his sleep as he still slept from 9pm until 3am and then he ate again around 6.  I think Ethan would like to sleep later in the morning but he usually gets woken up by Isaac around 6:30 or 7am.

Ethan is smiling and talking a lot more.  I think Isaac is going to be excited when Ethan can play with toys and respond to his voice.  He tries to talk to and play with him but Ethan cannot do much yet.

One Month Old

Ethan is already two months old and I am just getting around to posting his one month photos.  I had ordered cute, "monthly" blocks from Etsy for his pictures but it took over a month for them to be shipped.  It turns out that the mother of the person that made the blocks passed away unexpectedly so she was not keeping up with her work during the month of August.  So, his one month pictures do not have them but that is okay.

I did not get many good pictures but it is difficult with a one month old.  At a month, Ethan was about 12 pounds.  He is growing so quickly!
