Isaac's First Vacation

We just returned from a week long vacation to Florida.  We went to Carol and John's wedding on Sunday and then enjoyed the beautiful weather the rest of the week.  Thank you to Carol and John for getting the family to plan a trip.

Isaac had many firsts.  It was his first vacation, flight, wedding, trip out of state, and first time swimming, away from home for a week, and away from Dad for four days.  Alex had to come home on Tuesday to work but I luckily had many helping hands for the remainder of the vacation.  We were concerned about the flight but Isaac did a great job.  He slept almost the entire flight home!  However, it is amazing how much "baggage" you have when traveling with children.  It is hard to juggle the stroller, car seat, base, milk, diaper bag and baby!

The wedding was beautiful and it was so fun to spend time with the extended family.  The remainder of the week was filled with swimming, fun in the sun, early morning and evening walks, good food, Downtown Disney, and City Walk.  No wonder it was so hard to come back to reality.

Isaac really enjoyed watching and playing with cousin Eli.  I think Isaac was wishing that he was able to keep up with him.  Only a few more months and then we are all in trouble. Although he did master rolling over!  He also learned to shake his head "no" and he is fascinated by his toes.

It took a day to adjust to being home but we seem to be back to our routine.  Isaac seems pretty bored with just Mom and Dad after having constant attention for a week.  Although, it is probably good we are home as I am pretty sure both Isaac and I gained a few too many pounds during this vacation.  We also missed Daddy!!!

Eli is an impressive swimmer

First night and just a toe dip in the water.

Walking to the wedding.

The beautiful bride!!!

Isaac loves his cousin. Wow, look at those thighs.

This is a pretty good representation of Isaac.  He always has a finger in his mouth. For some reason, later in the trip, he started choosing his middle finger and the finger of choice.

Like father.....

like son.

Isaac loved napping by the pool.

Getting in trouble with Grandpa.  Isaac really enjoyed playing with Grandpa on this trip.

Uncle Cory is practicing for when two little ones want to be held at once.  He looks like a pro already!

We were so thankful to be able to spend time with G-Pa and GiGi.

Adorbale!

Our flight home.  Vacations are so tiring!

Five Months!!!

Isaac was five months old last Saturday the 16th.  I took his pictures a few days early as we were flying to Florida on his five month birthday!  Obviously, I did not get them posted before I left.  Isaac is incredibly fun these days.  He loves playing with toys and jumping in his exercauser thing now. He is able to grab and shake rattles and put them (along with everything else) in his mouth.

The Florida pictures will be coming soon!

He loves his toes.

Memorial Day Weekend

We spent Memorial Day weekend in Madison with my extended family.  We had family pictures taken, attended a graduation party, hung out with friends and spent time with Aunt Tanya, Aunt Tara, and Grandma and Grandpa Thompson.  Isaac had fun playing with all the new toys and getting a ton of attention!

Who put my hat on backwards?

We had a cookout after the family pictures.  It is not just a coincidence that we all wore black shirts and jeans on the same day.

I think Isaac was sick of pictures by this point of the weekend.

My high school and college roommate Kelly came to visit again.
