First Haircut

It took 17 months for Isaac to grow enough hair to require a haircut.  His hair would either curl and be cute or turn into a frizzy mullet.  I decided enough was enough and I asked my Aunt Dianne to cut his hair while we were in Madison last weekend.  It only took three of us to distract him while she cut his hair but there were no tears!  He even sat in the chair by himself.

Here are a few before and after pictures.

Before: check out the wispies on the side.

Food was the best distraction.

You can see his neck again!

New Camera

For Mother's and Father's Day, we decided to buy a new camera!  We desperately needed a different camera in order get a picture of Isaac that was not blurry.  Here are a few pictures from Father's Day and a weekend in Madison with Grandma and Grandpa.  Pictures of Isaac's first hair cut to come.

Happy Father's Day Daddy!

A present from Mimi and Pa!

Thank you Mimi and Pa!!!

Happy Father's Day Grandpa!

Grandma lets me sit on the floor and eat without pants on.  She is way more fun than Mom.

"Ball, ball"

Practicing for the boat.

Where are Isaac and Grandpa?

There they are!

Boats and Birds

Isaac loves going to Grandma and Grandpa's since he gets to play with whatever he wants and there are so many fun toys there.  He was driving Grandpa's boat and helping Grandma fill up the bird feeder.

"Dad, can we get a boat?"

Computers, balls and teeter-totters

I think it is safe to say that Isaac is way too familiar with computers.  We decided to get Isaac his own computer so he would stop trying to play with ours.  It kind of worked.  He enjoys playing with his computer but he still tries to play with ours at times.  One of my favorite things that he does is dance to the music on his computer.  He will push the button, set it down and then dance in circles.

Isaac was very into his computer at Mother's Day brunch.

Teeter-tottering with cousin Harmony.

Watching the birds with Grandma.

Bath time with Daddy.

Isaac even gets to play basketball in the bath.

He has boats and ducks too.

Outside Fun!

The weather is finally getting nice so we have been enjoying some time outside.  If Isaac had his way, he would be outside all day every day.  He loves going to the park, taking wagon rides and playing with the soccer ball. He is starting to talk more and his personality is really starting to show.  I have a feeling that temper tantrums are just around the corner.  He now gets upset if you take something away from him or stop him from doing something (e.g., playing in the toilet - YUCK!).

I really like this age because he is starting to understand everything we are saying.  If I ask him to get his shoes or throw something away, he understands and will follow the directions (at least as of now).  As with everything else, I am sure that too will change.

We have been practicing his basketball and soccer skills.  He loves to throw, kick and chase balls around the yard and sometimes in the house.  I will try to catch a video one of these days.

He picked out his own hat!

Isaac loves ice cream like his Daddy!

We were having a little trouble with his hat.  He has such a small head.

So strong.

Mowing the lawn with Grandpa!

Isaac is trying to replicate the sound of the lawn mower in this picture.

I took Isaac to the zoo the other day.  He was just getting over being sick so he was not his usual smiley self.

We went to the zoo with our friend Levi who is 8 months old.
