Technology has not been on my side lately. I am in need of a new computer and camera right now. We are trying to get by with what we have for a while so this is the best I can do. The first video shows Isaac's walking/running skills. He still is not walking without assistance but he loves "driving" his toys around the house. In the second video, Isaac is dancing to the music from his cash register.

12 Month Photos
Between our awful camera and an active little boy, I did not get many good 12 month photos. He wanted to play with his stuffed animals and the blinds rather than sit still for his photo session.

One Year Appointment
We had Isaac's one year appointment today. Besides the three shots, the appointment went really well. He weighs 19 lbs 5 ounces and he is 28.5 inches. That puts him in the 6th percentile for weight, 12th for height and 10th for head circumference. So, he is just one little boy.
We are slowly starting the transition to whole milk which I never thought would be a big deal. Isaac does not seem to have any trouble with the change but it is certainly proving to be harder for me than I ever imagined. I am sure it will get easier over time.
Isaac is not walking on his own but he is still walking all around the furniture. He is learning to sign more things like "eat" and "more" and he now "washes" his hands after we change his diapers. He rubs his hands together just like I do (with hand sanitizer) after I change his diaper.
His twelve month photos will follow soon.

Happy birthday Isaac!
Isaac turned one a week ago! We had a small, family party and Isaac enjoyed opening presents, playing with balloons and eating cake.
Thank you Uncle P, Aunt C and Kinsley for a awesome card!
The boys playing with all the fun new toys.
I love Aunt Katie!
Balloons are so fun.
Especially when I can see Grandpa through the balloon.
Isaac's Great Grandpas
It is so hard to get a good picture these days.
Birthdays are fun.
Needless to say, I did not put the cake and candle any closer.
Hmm....yum?
Mmmmmm...this is really good.
How long will Mom let me eat this? I better eat fast.
The fun is over!
Not completely over.

One Messy Christmas
To say the least, this was one eventful Christmas. We traveled to Madison to celebrate with the Thompson Family. Then we went to the Brasel household to celebrate with the extended Gore Family. Finally, we packed up and traveled to West Bend to conclude the Christmas festivities.
The fun began on Christmas Eve. We attempted the 7 pm mass with three children under the age of three. They all did extremely well until the closing song when Isaac vomited all over the floor and the pew in front of us (thank goodness for the help of our families). He seemed to be okay on Christmas but he did not want to be set down and he certainly was not his smiley self. After having a fever for the next few days, the vomiting started again on Friday. He seems to be on the mend now. Needless to say, Isaac could have had a better first Christmas but we still enjoyed all the time with our relatives!
I did not bother Isaac with too many pictures but here are a few from the past week.

Ho, Ho, Ho!
We took Isaac to cut down a Christmas tree, to see Santa and to a Badger basketball game. He enjoyed them all except sitting on Santa's lap. He was not one of the babies that screams before you put him on Santa's lap but he quickly realized that he did not know the man with the beard. He then started to whimper so Dad "saved" him.
